Man arrested for slaying family in Wassit

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: A man was arrested on Monday on charges of murdering all five members of a family north of the city of al-Kut, a police source in Wassit said. “An Iraqi security force conducted a search raid in the district of al-Numaniya, (40 km) north of Kut, resulting in the capture of Malek bin Khammas, who is involved in slaughtering a family of five persons last Wednesday,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The man confessed to the crime he had committed in the area of al-Hassan al-Askari, (10 km) northern Kut, during investigations with him,” the source added.
