Shahristani, Iranian MoO discuss enhancing common cooperation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs Hussein al-Shahristani discussed with the Iranian Oil Minister Rustom Qasemi the means of developing mutual cooperation in fields of energy, exchanging expertise and encouraging the Iranian companies to increase investments in Iraq. A statement by the DPM’s office cited “Shahristani received in Baghdad, the Iranian Minister and the Iranian Ambassador to Iraq, Hassan Dana’i Far, with the accompanying delegation, where Shahristani expressed Iraq’s readiness to coordinate with the Iranian companies to conduct investment projects in Iraq.” “Both sides also discussed the common topics of the OPEC to support crude oil prices,” he statement added. “For his part, The Iranian Minister expressed Iran’s willingness to support Iraq’s nominee for the post of the Secretary General of the Organization of Petrol Exporting Countries (OPEC),” the statement concluded.
