Eastern Baghdad blast casualties up to 16

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The death toll of Monday’s earlier suicide bombing attack in eastern Baghdad rose to 11 while the wounded were five, an Iraqi police source said. “The casualties from an improvised explosive device attack targeting a bus carrying the trade ministry employees on the Muhammad al-Qassem highway, near the area of al-Nai’eriya, New Baghdad, rose to 11 deaths, mostly women and one girl child, while the wounded were five,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The attack set the vehicle on fire,” the source added. Earlier in the day, a security source said that two civilians were killed and eight others wounded in the blast. AmR (P) 1
