Saad accuses MoE of corruption and manipulation matters

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Energy Committee Suzan al-Saad accused the Electricity Ministry of depriving the employees of the southern electricity departments from the developmental and rehabilitation courses. Saad said “MoE did not treat the employees and the staff of southern power stations fairly in the issue of participation right in the rehabilitation and developmental courses like their counterparts in the other electricity departments,” noting “I have discovered that during my frequent visits to the power stations of Basra and other stations in the southern provinces.” She added “The lack of rehabilitation and developmental courses affects negatively their performance,” stressing that “The shares of these departments go to the ministry and to the northern and western regions’ stations and the staff of the southern region is deprived of these courses which is considered as discrimination and injustice.” There are many suspicions about corruption cases in the MoE according to some observers among them the failure in improving the level of producing the electric energy also the manipulation in the issue of the training courses granted to the ministry’s cadres.
