Receiving (163, 000) tons of wheat, (32, 000) tons barley within 10 days

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Company for Trading Grains announced in a statement “Receiving about (163, 808) tons of wheat and (32, 664) tons of barley from all the provinces.” “The receipt process of wheat and barley from farmers for this year has begun in theMay, 5th,” the statement added. The Information Director of the company, Amer Abdul Aziz, quoted the Director General, Hassan Ismail al-Amiri, as saying “Wassit province after ten days, comes at the forefront in producing wheat where the amount of the marketed wheat reached (80985) tons, adding that Diwaniyah production of barley makes up the half of what has marketed of barley across the country so far.” He pointed out that “Karbala has not begun yet to receive any amount of wheat or barley, and it is one of the poor provinces in producing grains.”
