MoE links Basra hospitals to emergency electricity line

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Suzan al-Saad, the member of the Energy Parliamentary Committee, confirmed the respond of the Ministry of Electricity to connect the hospitals of Basra to the national electricity grid instead of the Iranian’s fluctuated electricity power line.

The office of al-Saad reported in a statement to IraqiNews.com that “MP Saad received phone calls from the Director of Basra Health Department requesting to change the connection of the hospitals of the province, specially (Child) hospital, from the Iranian fluctuated electricity power line to the Iraqi National Eletcricity Grid.”

The statement added that “MP Suzan al-Saad conducted communications with the Undersecretary of distribution affairs for the Ministry of Electricity and the Undersecretary of Administrative Affairs as well as the Directors of distribution in the province.”

The statement pointed out that “These communications succeeded to connect the hospitals of Basra to the emergency electricity line which provides continuous electricity power.”
