Saad urges Finance Ministry to fund operating local generators

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Parliamentary Oil and Energy Committee MP Suzan al-Saad demanded the Ministry of Finance “To allocate the required funds to provide the fuel for the local electricity generators of the private sector during summer season.”

She reported to IraqiNews.com on Sunday “We demand the Ministry of Finance to allocate the required funding to provide the fuel for the private sector electricity generators,” stressing that “The Provincial Council of Baghdad is the only PC that adopted funding these generators and the other local governments should adopt the same approach or the Ministry of Finance should hold that responsibility like last year, especially the hot summer season of Iraq in on the doors.”

Al-Saad added that “It is so important that the electricity power be provided by the institutions of State for the Iraqi citizens.”
