Iraqi ambassador invites Norway to attend transparency conference

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Iraq has invited the Norwegian Minister of Oil and Energy to attend the conference of transparency and combat corruption which will be held in Baghdad at the end of next June.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported in a statement to IraqiNews.com that “The Iraqi ambassador to Oslo Sundus Omar Ali urged during her meeting with the Norwegian Minister of Oil and Energy to encourage the Norwegian companies to invest in Iraq because Norway is aiming to be a full member in the transparency initiative for extractive industries.”

The statement added that “During the meeting, the Norwegian Minister of Oil and Energy has been invited to attend the conference of transparency and combat corruption which will be held in Baghdad at the end of next June.” \
