Organizing Committee of ACN approve changing referee of Iraq-Lebanon match

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Organizing Committee of the Arab Cup of Nations that is held in Jeddah city in the Kingdom of the Saudi Arabia agreed to replace the Egyptian referee, Jihad Jerisha, by the Moroccan referee, Ridhwan Jayid, due to Iraq’s objection on the former referee.

The reporter of IraqiNews.com stated “After the threats of the Iraqi National Team related to withdrawing from the Cup if the Egyptian referee remained to lead the match, the Committee responded to the Iraqi request by changing the referee.”

“Iraq confirmed its participation in the Cup after responding to its demand over changing the Egyptian referee,” the reporter concluded.
