Iraq to add more competition for AFC, says Arab official

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Arab Football Association AFA and member of the Organizing Committee for the Arab Cup Football Championship, Walid al-Kurdi, assured that “The Championship, which will start on Friday in Jeddah and Ta’if cities of the KSA, will witness great competition due to participation of the Iraqi Team due to its wide reputation.”

“The intensive participation of the Arab teams in this championship shows the will of the Arab associations to achieve success of the championship,” he added.

“Iraqi teams are known for their seriousness and the arrival of the Iraqi Team to KSA would not be for participation only,” according to Kurdi, who stressed that “I cannot nominate any particular team to win this title of the championship, but Iraq will be among the teams to compete on winning the title.”
