Zawra FC loses 3-2 to Jaysh in AFC
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Zawra FC was defeated 3-2 in the first round of the Asian Football Cup AFC against Jaysh FC from Syria in Wihdat stadium in the Jordanian capital Amman.
The first half of the match ended with one goal to Jaysh scored in the 23rd minute, Zawra tried to equalize but it missed many easy chances.
Zawra began the second half of the match with intensive attacks on Jaysh’s goal and managed to score the equalizer by Mohammad Jabbar at the 61st minute.
After Zawra’s equalizer, it tried harder to score the winning goal but from two counter attacks for Jaysh’s striker Raja Raf’i, Jaysh scored two killing goals at the 68th and 70th minute of the second half.
