Lawyers to demonstrate in Salah-il-Din

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The Lawyers Syndicate in Salah-il-Din province announced organizing a demonstration to protest the attack which was conducted by a police officer against a Deputy Attorney General during a trial in the province.

The deputy chairman of lawyers syndicate Waleed al-Janabi stated to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that ”The Lawyers Syndicate will organize demonstration to protest the attack which was conducted by the police commander of the right coast area within Shurqat district, Colonel Subhi al-Dawla, against the Deputy Attorney General and the Investigation Judge of Shurqat district,” noting that “The Colonel insulted the judge on the background of a civilian lawsuit related to the relative of the Colonel.”

The statement added that ”The demonstration will demand providing the protection for the lawyers and judges from such attacks which do not suit their role in applying the justice and promoting the law conception.”
