Babel PC refuse to establish new Campus for Babel University

Babel, Hilla (IraqiNews.com) The Provincial Council of Babel province announced its rejection to establish a new campus for Babel University on the banks of the Euphrates river in Hilla city because that area is allocated for establishing parks and public gardens for the local families according to the basic design of the city.

Member of Babel Provincial Council, Ali Hussein Kazzaz, stated for the correspondent of Iraqi News IraqiNews.com that ”The area which was supposed to be allocated to establish the new campus reaches (100 domunes) and located near to ancient Babylon city.”

He added ”The universities should be established in areas out of the center of the cities in order to facilitate the transportation operation of the students and it will reduce the traffic jam as well as imposing the security control on the universities.” \
