MP demands to detach Children Care Commission from MoWCA

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliamentary Woman, Family and Childhood Committee demanded to separate the Childhood Care Commission from the Ministry of Work and Social Affairs and associate it with the Parliament in order to ensure better management. The member in the Committee MP Huda Sajad said “A report set by the UNESCO about Iraq and the rate of the Children killed due to violence acts in 2011, 2012 showed that it was a bitter rate and it is a foregone conclusion to what is happening of violence due to the political crises which have great impact on the security situation in the country.” The UNICEF announced this week that Iraq witnessed the death of (49) Iraqi children and injuring (169) others in different incidents in Iraq since the beginning of 2012 up till now.
