Iraq, Kuwait seek to establish Media Observatory

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi-Kuwaiti Media Council discussed possibility of establishing Media Observatory to monitor what is published in both countries concerning the Kuwaiti-Iraqi relations.

A media statement cited that “The Council discussed, during the preparatory meetings held this week called for by the Arab Media Forum, a number of issues including the Council’s functions to be carried out and the developments of the program for one year.”

It added “The Council aims to evaluate the media discourse and emphasize on positive facts that serve the interests of both countries in addition to documenting media activities in media archives to be a reference for information and many issues adopted by the Council.”

It is worth mentioning that a Kuwaiti delegation involved members from Kuwaiti Parliament and a number of Journalists from Kuwait has visited Iraq in last April where they met with senior Iraqi officials and discussed the means of developing the bilateral relations of both countries.
