Arab artists to participate in Iraqi Press Day
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A number of Arab actors and artists announced their participation in the festival of the Iraqi Press Day which is to be celebrated in Baghdad at the end of June, 2012. A statement by the Journalists Syndicate cited “Dozens of Arab actors and artists confirmed that they will participate in the celebration of the Iraqi Press Day which will begin on 28/29 in the current month among them the Egyptian actress Yusra and the singers Latifa, Shirin, Tayseer Fahmi, and Madeleine Matar.” “The festival will also be attended by prominent political characters, parliamentarians, and journalists from Arab and foreign countries,” the statement added. It is worth to be mentioned that the Journalists Syndicate celebrates its Day on June 15th, but the JS has decided to postpone the celebration since it coincided with the anniversary of Martyrdom of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (Peace be upon him).
