Aftan discusses in Babel electricity posture

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Electricity Karim Aftan al-Jumaili discussed with the officials at the Directorate General for Middle Euphrates Electricity in Babel province, the national power grid’s posture in the province, the problems hindering its work and the measures taken to solve this problem through erecting new secondary electric stations and other projects in progress. A statement by the MoE quoted the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Musab al-Mudaris, as saying “The Minister held a mutual meeting involved representatives from the ministry and those of Babel Provincial Council where they discussed the electricity situation in the province.” Mudaris added “An agreement was reached, during the meeting, to adhere to the programmed electricity shutdown and to punish non-compliant owners of the local private power generators.”
