3 Iraqi soldiers injured by roadside bomb blast in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: Three Iraqi soldiers were wounded in a roadside bomb explosion in Khaniqeen district, a security source said on Wednesday. “An explosive charge went off on Tuesday night targeting a container to transport water to the Iraqi army in Imam Weis region, west of al-Saadiya district, in Khaniqeen, injuring three Iraqi soldiers,” the source told IraqiNews.com. “The explosion caused material damage to the container,” he added, noting that the wounded were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Khaniqeen is located 155 northeast of Baaquba, the capital of Diala, which lies 57 km northeast of Baghdad. SH (P) 1
