Baghdad Mayorship threaten to sue Baghdad Governor

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad Mayorship threatened to sue Baghdad Governor for charges of “slander unless he designates the thieves who the Governorate accused the Mayorhip of defending them.” A statement by BM cited “The Governor’s statements and his attacks on the BM are evidents to the Governorate’s weakness which always hurdles implementing the projects of Baghdad Mayorship, also these accusations indicate the Governorate inability to bear its responsibility in providing services to the citizens.” “Baghdad Mayorship is characterized by its fairness and integrity in fighting corruption and it will not cover up any thief who extends his hand to the public money,” the statement added. It is worth mentioning that the relation between Baghdad Mayorship and Baghdad Governorate witnessed recently considerable tensions and exchanging accusations where BM described BG as a “failure institution” holding it full responsibility in faltering the Mayorship’s projects.
