16 arrested in Baghdad in 24 hrs

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: A total of 16 persons were arrested and 19 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) were detonated during security operations in different parts of the capital Baghdad throughout the past 24 hours, a spokesperson for the Baghdad Operation Command (BOC) said on Wednesday. “Three security personnel were wounded during the operations,” Maj. Gen. Qassim Ata told IraqiNews.com. “Meanwhile, 32 displaced families have returned to their places of origin and a car bomb was defused in Baghdad,” Ata added.
