MoWA honors creative Iraqi women

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Woman Affairs organized a ceremony at Ishtar Hotel under the supervision of the Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Ibtehal Kased al-Zayadi and honored several women who are creative in the fields of political, scientific, literary, artistic, sports and civil society.

The ceremony included some discussions about the means to rise the reality of Iraqi women through taking advantage of the media outlets and the ceremony resulted in some recommendations to suggest them to media outlets.

A statement by the Ministry of Woman Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited that “The ceremony was held under the title of the woman permanent source of giving and remarkable creativity,” noting that “All the women who were honored were previously hosted by the television program (Creative Women).”

The statement quoted the Minister as saying in her speech at the ceremony that “We wish that all the media outlets to present the Iraqi woman as an active and effective in all layers of the community and not limit the image of woman in the typical roles.” \
