Aftan urges to keep up with international developments in energy feild
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Minister of Electricity Karim Aftan said that “The ministry decided to punish the Directors General who do not replace the damaged electricity transformers after 24 hours of receiving the citizen’s complaint.” He stressed the necessity of “cutting off the electric current from any customer whether it is a house of an official or governmental institution or citizen’s house since the tax is a required issue.” The Minister urged to “keep up with the global scientific development in transforming the power.” The Spokesperson of the MoE said “These instructions came during the meeting held with the officials responsible for producing, distributing and transforming electricity in the western region during the Minister’s visit to Haditha Power Generating Station in attendance of the Director General of the General Directorate of Energy Production, the engineer Saad Ibrahim and the Director General of Haditha station.”
