Baghdad governor denies accusations over corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Baghdad Governor Salah Abdul Razaq denied his “knowldge or receiving any demand by Baghdad Provincial Council to question him over corruption charges.” Abud Razaq said in a statement received by (IraqiNews.com) “I have not received any request from the Governorate or the Baghdad Provincial COuncil over investigations related to corruption cases,” noting that “These accusations given by Baghdad PC member Salih al-Jazairi are mere political accusations that precede the elections of the Provincial Councils.” He assured that “We are ready to discuss any file on condition of providing evidences that verify the charges and claims.” The member of Baghdad Provincial Council Saleh al-Jazari had called to question the Governor Abdul Razaq over corruption cases and bad performance.
