Jubouri urges Kurdistan RegionG to end violating constitution

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqiya Slate’s MP Omar al-Jubouri urged the Kurdistan Regional Government to “stop violating the constitution in order to avoid bad consequences.”

In a press conference held in the Parliament on Monday, MP Jubouri said “We condemn the attempt of the Peshmerga forces to forbid the Iraqi Army units from being deployed near the Iraqi-Syrian borders close to Nineveh province,” warning from the serious consequences of this clear violation of the constitution.”

Jubouri called the Federal Authorities to “Take the necessary procedures to implement the constitutional rights according to Article 1 of the constitution.”

“The Peshmerga forces, which have been accustomed to violating the constitution by practicing murders, suppression and kidnapping since the fall of the former regime, should understand that the Iraqi Army is the only authority that has the right to spread over the whole Iraqi lands while the Kurdish forces should not go beyond the borders of Kurdistan Region,” according to MP Jubouri.
