Urgent – senior official assassinated in Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A senior security official along with two of his body guards were killed due to an armed attack in Anbar province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “An armed group attacked the motorcade of the Colonel Abed Ibraheem al-Asafy, the Commander of Rutba Police Station (350 KM) to the west of Ramadi city, killing him along with two of his bodyguards.”

The source added “The Colonel was assassinated while he was traveling by his vehicle in Rutba area.” \
