Security forces arrest Kurdish party members

SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Four members of the Kurdistan Democratic Solution Party were arrested for distributing leaflets against the Turkish and Iranian armies, a member of the party’s political bureau said on Saturday. “Today, Sulaimaniya’s security personnel arrested four of our members in the center of the province for distributing party leaflets against the Iranian artillery shelling and Turkish air strikes on Kurdistan region territories,” Faiq Kawlabi told IraqiNews.com. “Four members of civil society organizations were also arrested,” Kawlabi noted, providing no further details. Meanwhile, a security chief in Sulaimaniya, Hassan Nouri, said that those arrested had distributed leaflets without obtaining a permit from local authorities and would be sent to court. SS (P) 1
