Arab States group in UN condemns continuity of Israeli settlement in West Bank
(IraqiNews.com) The group of the Arab countries in the United Nations condemned, on Wednesday, the continuity of the Israeli settlement in the West Bank and asked the UN Security Council to approve the Palestinian invitation to send a delegation from the Council to visit the region.
A statement by the Arab group recited by the Saudi Ambassador Abdullah al-Mu’alimi in front of journalists when he got out of a discussion session in the UNSC about the situations in the Middle East cited that “Israel continues without stopping the policy of settlement expansion in all territories of the West Bank.”
“Thus, Israel continues defying the international community and the UN relevant resolutions,” he added.
The group of the Arab States expressed with regret “The disability or reservation of the UN Security Council to take the necessary measures to put an end to the Israeli occupation” and asked the Council to “Act quickly to save the dwindling chances of peace.”
