11 gunmen captured in Diala

DIALA / IraqiNews.com: A police force arrested 11 gunmen, including seven “dangerous” persons, during a security raid conducted southwest of Baaquba city on Monday, a senior security official said. “A police force captured 11 gunmen today, including seven dangerous elements, in the district of Bani Saad, (17 km) southwest of Baaquba,” Maj. General Abdelhussein al-Shimari, the Diala police chief, told IraqiNews.com. “The arrested persons are now remanded in custody pending investigation,” Shimari said, not giving more details about the operation.
