Hakim, Kobler discuss means of achieving national accord
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Iraq, Martin Kobler, discussed the means of achieving the national accord.
A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Hakim received Kobler and they discussed the latest updates in Iraq in addition to activate the parliament role to expedite forming the Independent High Electoral Commission and nominate the members of the Federal Court.”
“The two sides have also discussed some internal issues and the future of the political process in addition to the regional updates,” the statement concluded.
