Kurdistan Region parliament blocs, Kurdish blocs hold meeting on Saturday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The associative committee of the blocs of Kurdistan Region parliament and the Kurdish blocs in the Iraqi parliament will hold a meeting on Saturday.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan received by IraqiNews.com on Friday quoted the media Advisor of the Speaker of Kurdistan Region parliament, Tariq Jawhar, as saying “The associative committee was formed after holding the first meeting headed by the Speaker of Kurdistan Region parliament and in presence of Prime Minister of Kurdistan Region, The Secretary Generals of the political parties and some representatives of the political blocs in Kurdistan Region parliament.”

“The participants assured the necessity of forming a supreme council to negotiate with the central government over the pending issues with Baghdad,” he added.

“There is a time limit for this committee to prepare the draft of its tasks and present it to the parliament chairmanship to be acquainted with it then taking the suitable action to endorse a law draft in the parliament,” he concluded.
