MP urges officials to pay attention to agricultural sector

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee of Finance, Ahmed Hassan Faidhallah, highlighted “The need to allocate a budget from oil revenues for sectors of Agriculture and Industry, attributing the economic degradation to the lack of confidence among political blocs.”

Faidhallah stated to IraqiNews.com “The budget means here to follow economic policy and plan for the country’s revenues.”

He called to allocate “A budget from the general annual budget for the different sectors and according to the priorities explaining that “The main priority should be given for the Agriculture especially since Iraq is an agrarian country has been known for thousands of years while the current financial allocations for the agrarian sector are very little.”

He attributed the country’s economic decline to “The internal situations and its political instability, also lack of confidence among political blocs that led to delay regulating the country’s affairs soundly.”
