Ukrainian MoD express willingness to cooperate with Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Defense Minister of Ukraine expressed the readiness of his country to cooperate with Iraq in the military field.

A statement by the Iraqi embassy in Ukraine cited that “The Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine, Shoresh Khalid Saeed, met with the Ukrainian Defense Minister, Dmitry Salamatin, in the headquarter of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.”

“Both sides discussed the mutual relations, especially the situations in the Middle East and the political updates in Iraq,” the statement added.

The statement pointed out “The Iraqi Ambassador praised the development of the Iraqi-Ukrainian relations in all fields; especially in the military and technical feilds,” assuring possibility of expanding cooperation in this regard.”

“For his part, the Ukrainian Minister, confirmed his country’s willingness to coordinate with Iraq in the ministry sector,” praising the “Development in the field of fighting terrorism and stabilizing the security situation in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
