Kurdish MP describes Salih’s visit to Baghdad as “Important”

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohsin al-Saadoun, of the Kurdistani Alliance described the visit of the former Prime Minister, of Kurdistan Region and the Secretary General of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan , Barham Salih to Baghdad as “Important”.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Salih’s visit to Baghdad is very important which is certainly to bring the various views closed in spite of being a visit by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan because the delegation did not involve the other Kurdish sides.”

“The delegation will discuss with the heads of the political blocs the tensions and the pending issues between Kurdistan Region and the federal government,” he added.

Informed sources stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Sunday “Salih will meet the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, and some key officials to discuss the current crisis between Kurdistan Region and the central government.”

The sources expected that “Salih to have a Kurdish initiative from the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to settle the crisis.”
