Political disputes hurdle endorsement of important laws, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdullah Gharb, of the Iraqiya Slate assured that “The political disputes among the political blocs hurdle the endorsement of a lot of law drafts in the parliament.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The disputes emerged from the partisan and personal interests,” noting that “These political problems postpone many laws.”

“The conflict between the parliament and the government negatively affects the performance of the two authorities concerning the services presented to the citizens,” he concluded.

Iraq witnesses political crisis lasted for several months due to the disputes among the political sides related to the partnership and other issues which led some blocs to call for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, after holding meetings in Najaf and Erbil provinces.
