2 Brothers killed, mother wounded in Wasit

Wassit, Kut (IraqiNews.com) Two brothers were killed and their mother wounded due to an armed attack in Wassit province.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com that ”Three gunmen stormed a house, in Kardhiya area of eastern Kut city the central of Wassit province, opened fire killing two young brothers and wounding their mother on Tuesday evening.”

The source added “The police transported the dead bodies of the two brothers to the morgue of Zahraa General hospital while the mother was transported to the emergency room due to her dangerous condition,” noting that “The initial investigation reveled that the incident was caused due to tribal dispute.”

The source pointed out that ”The police forces imposed security cordon around the incident scene but the doers have managed to escape before the arrival of the police.”

The source concluded ”The police distributed the descriptions of the three doers on all checkpoints to be arrested.” \
