Kut bombing suspect arrested

WASSIT / IraqiNews.com: Police patrols arrested one person suspected of being involved in the roadside bombing that wounded four members of the same family in Kut city, a security source from Wassit province said on Sunday. “The operation took place according to an arrest warrant issued by an investigation judge,” the source told IraqiNews.com. Four civilians from the same family, including a woman, were wounded on Saturday when a locally-made roadside bomb went off near their house in Kut city. The bomb was planted in an empty yard near the house at al-Mashroa neighborhood, central Kut. Two of the injuries were serious, and the explosion also caused damages to the house.
