New Sluice in Thi-Qar marshes

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: A project to construct a new sluice in Thi-Qar was awarded on Saturday to a local company, said the director of marshes refreshing center in the province. “The total cost of the project will be around $12 million,” Osama Hashim told IraqiNews.com. “It will be executed within four months,” he said. “The project is a hydraulic system that allows a water discharge of 10,000 cubic meters per hour, using 16 gates,” he added.
