Alwani urges Government to provide basic services shortly after Eid al-Fitr holiday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, stressed that “Providing electricity power and drinking water is the most important things that the Government should do directly after the holiday of Eid al-Fitr.”

A statement by Alwani cited “The provision of services such as electricity and potable water is the most necessary things that must be provided soon after Eid al-Fitr by the government to the citizens who suffered injustice and harm, in addition to providing job opportunities to unemployed people and provide jobs to the graduates of colleges and institutes.”

Alwani, as member in the Parliamentary Integrity Committee stressed “The need to adopt this holy Eid as a real breakthrough to eliminate corruption and fight against the corrupted people all over the institutions of the country.”

He called on “The Government to speed up releasing the innocent detainees,” urging “The Parliament to vote on the General Amnesty Law.”
