Iraq takes part in table tennis coaching course in Beirut

THI-QAR / IraqiNews.com: Five Iraqis who surpassed tests to get international licenses for table tennis coaching are attending a five-day high-level course in Beirut next week, a sports source said. “The five coaches will attend the course to be hosted by the Lebanese capital Beirut on December 13-17,” Oqeil Jabbar, the coach of Iraq‘s junior table tennis team, told IraqiNews.com. “Unfortunately, there are some financial problems facing the coaches’ participation after the Iraqi Table Tennis Federation notified them that they will have to afford the costs of flights and residency, estimated at 720,000 Iraqi dinars (roughly $600) per each coach, due to lack of finance suffered by the federation,” he said.
