ILO holds workshop in Arbil

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The International Labor Organization (ILO) held a workshop in the province of Arbil, the capital of the Iraqi Kurdistan region, on Sunday to raise the awareness of workers in the social sphere, a Kurdish official said. “The five-day event, organized in association with the provinces of Duhuk and Ninewa, started today in the Arbil Chamber of Commerce,” Tawana Abu Bakr, the social work office director in Arbil, told IraqiNews.com. “The workshop will comprise 16 participants from the provinces of Arbil, Duhuk and Ninewa,” he added. The Geneva-based ILO, founded in 1919, is an international organization that is interested in workers’ affairs and work conditions and policies.
