KA calls for conducting census in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistani Alliance called to conduct the census in the country in order to identify the residential rate of Kurdistan Region to the rest of Iraq.

Spokesperson of the KA MP Muayed al-Tayeb said to Iraqi News “The statements of the Deputy Premier Hussein al-Shahristani which limited the rate of the Region by 13% is based on the resolution of the United Nations issued at the former regime’s era to identify the rate of the population in Kurdistan Region by 13 % as a share of the Region from the Oil in return for Food,” noting that “The former Regime managed at that time to bribe an official at the UN to get this resolution.”

“The call of Shahristani to reduce the rate of the Kurdistan Region from the Federal Budget resulted from his hostile attitude towards the Region and this attitude is clear through his objection on oil contracts in the Region and the budget of the Kurdistan Region,” according to MP Tayeb, calling to punish Shahristani.
