Anbar PC Chairman calls to summon Syrian Ambassador over aircraft violation for Iraqi airspace

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Acting Chairman of Anbar Provincial Council, Sadoun Abied al-Shaalan, called to “Summon the Syrian Ambassador to give clarification for the violation of the Iraqi airspace by a Syrian aircraft which bombarded the Syrian area of Al-Bo Kamal.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Governorate condemned this violation and the bombardment of Al-Bo Kamal area.”

Earlier, a Syrian aircraft violated the Iraqi airspace on Huseiba area and shelled the Syrian city of Al-Bo Kamal for several times.”

Security source told the correspondent of IraqiNews.com that ”The Syrian aircraft flew on so low level within the Iraqi airspace and shelled Al-Bo Kamal area on the Syrian territory.”

The source added “The Qaem border inlet has already been closed by a wall of concrete blocks,” noting that “The length of the wall is about (700 m) and the Iraqi authorities evacuated the border inlet from the staff and employees and handed it over to the border guards.”

The sources added that ”The Government installed surveillance cameras and conducted anticipation procedures to avoid any security breaches.”
