Some bloc rejection for investigating Maliki weakens parliament, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hameed Bafi, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out that “The rejection of some political blocs for investigating the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, participated in weakening the legislative authority and increasing the financial as well as administrative corruption.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he expressed “His pessimism concerning the reforms which the President, Jalal Talabani, called for.”

“The constitution permits the provinces to manage their affairs through the local governments by granting them wide authorities,” he added.

“The current officials want to practice the strict central authorities through the Federal Government,” he mentioned.

“The evidence behind the government’s monopolization is the delay of nominating the security ministers which resulted in deteriorated security situation,” he continued.

“There are demonstrations launched in various areas calling for providing the services, potable water and electricity,” he noted.

He called “To investigate the government and to question the officials responsible of the security and services files.”
