Retirement law amended in Kurdistan Region

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Committee of the Security and Interior Affairs of Kurdistan Parliament announced amending the law of service and retirement for the security forces within the Ministry of Interior of Kurdistan regional Government after Eid al-Fitr.”

The member of the committee, Nareman Abdullah reported in press statement that ”The amended law states that the salary of the retiree is supposed to be about 80 % of his total salary when he was on duty if he served 15 years within the Interior Ministry and exceeded the age of 50 years.”

The statement added that ”Each employee serves more years than the specific years will be rewarded by adding an amount of money for his retirement salary.”

The statement pointed out that ”The retirement law draft is still in Parliament to be voted on and this law includes all those who were referred to retirement since 23/3/1992.”
