Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Karim Elewi of the Iraqi National Alliance accused “The US administration of attempting to abort the summit of the Non-Aligned Countries through pressurizing the member States that are dominated by the USA not to attend this summit.”

He noted that “The USA cannot prevent Iraq from attending this meeting as it is now independent and does not receive instructions from the US administration.”

Elewi said in a statement to IraqiNews.com “The US administration seeks to foil the Non-Aligned Summit which is participated by more than 50 countries,” stressing that “This conference aims to form international front that is not subject to the US domination.”

“The USA exerts efforts to urge the Middle Eastern States not to participate in the conference which represents a great success and influence for Iran in the region,” he added.

Earlier, The Spokesperson of the Iraqi Government, Ali al-Dabbagh, declared, on last Saturday, that “The Iraqi Vice President Khudaiyr al-Khuzayi will head a delegation to take part in the Non-Aligned Summit in Tehran.”

It is worth to mention that the experts’ meeting of the Non-Aligned States started today, Sunday, in Tehran in advance of the Foreign Ministers’ meeting in preparation for holding the Summit.
