Timimi assumes post of Acting Diyala Governor

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) Diyala first Deputy Governor, Furat al-Timimi, assumed the post of “The Acting Governor due to the death of the late Diyala Governor, Hisham al-Hayali, in a car accident.”

The head of the Media Office in the Governorate, Turath al-Azzawi, stated to IraqiNews.com “Legally, Timimi assumed this post since Hayali’s death till nominating a new governor by the Provincial Council.”

He expected “Nominating the new governor during the current week.”

Earlier, Diyala Governor, Hisham al-Hayali, died in traffic accident on last Saturday evening.

A source from Diyala Governorate stated to IraqiNews.com “Hayali underwent traffic accident at Kalar road between Diyala and Sulaimaniya provinces.”

“The accident resulted in killing Hayali’s wife as well,” the source concluded.
