Urgent – .Security official injured in western Mosul

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The commander of the Joint Coordination Center in Talafar district was injured when a suicide bomber driving a car bomb targeted his motorcade western Mosul on Monday.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com “A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded targeting the motorcade of the Talafar JCC, Colonel Mohammed Ahmed, injuring him along with two of his guards as well as two elements of the Electricity Police, who were accidently at the explosion site, while the motorcade was passing through Islah Ziraee neighborhood of western Mosul”

Colonel Ahmed was coming to Mosul in an official mission to be targeted at his arrival in Mosul city, the source added, noting that “The injured persons were transferred to hospital for treatment.”
