Kurdistan RegionG signs contracts to improve electricity
ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Ministry of Electricity in the Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG) on Wednesday signed two contracts with foreign companies to improve electricity supply in the region, according to a ministerial statement. “The first contract was signed with Parsons Brinckerhoff (PB)…,” read the statement that was received by IraqiNews.com. Within six months, the company will draw up a plan for the ministry on how to produce and distribute electricity in the region, the statement added. The ministry has also contracted a Turkish company to conduct studies on the establishment of a dam and an electricity generating station with a capacity of 72 MW north of Duhuk city, according to the statement.
