Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Displaced Committee, Liqa Wardi, stated that a parliamentary Committee, comprising members of Human Rights, Displaced, Security and Defense Committee in addition to the MPs of Anbar province, will visit the camps of the Syrian refugees in Qaim district.

She stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The Committee will make a completed report over the condition of the refugees and the governmental procedures followed in order to submit it to the parliament.”

“Closing al-Qaim border inlet to the Syrian refugees is immoral and violates the international pacts that prohibit keeping any refugee on the borders especially for the Syrians who have a special case,” calling the government to “Expedite performing the camps and bring the rest of the Syrian families into Iraq.”

She revealed that the governmental decision over opening al-Qaim border inlet is not applied yet, noting that “This was justified by the lack of the formal permission from the Interior Ministry and some key officials.”
