Mayor assassinated in Baquba

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) A Mayor of a village was assassinated in Baquba city of central Diyala.

Security source reported to IraqiNews.com on Wednesday that ”Unidentified gunmen opened fire from thier silenced weapons targeting, Ibraheem Dnow, the Mayor of Tahrir neighborhood of central Baquba city the central of Diyala province, killing him ,” noting that “The gunmen fled away after the attack.”

The source added “The police transported the dead body of the Mayor to the morgue and the launched an investigation over the incident.” \
